Guwahati/Tinsukia, July 12: In a big development, one Bikash Das, a tea-stall owner near Tinsukia Railway Station has reportedly admitted to the crime.
Reportedly, Bikash Das alias Bubu has admitted that he killed both the woman but the police have not yet made an official statement on the issue. He also stated that there is one more person involved in the murder.
The accused was apprehended based on the CCTV footage of the Tinsukia Railway Station and later on Thursday, he was arrested after he admitted of committing the crime.
It has been stated that the person over the past few days was frequently traveling on the trains to sell clothes.
It may be mentioned that two women – 21-year-old Radha Kumari and 48-year-old Lalima Devi – were found murdered in the lavatories of trains plying on the same railway route over the last 36 hours and in a similar manner under similar circumstances.
