BJP is a ‘Divisive’ force: Tejashwi Yadav in Guwahati
GUWAHATI: Terming the BJP led government, a threat to the nation, Leader of Opposition in Bihar and Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) chief Tejashwi Yadav on Saturday said that his party has come to Assam with a single motive agenda to dethrone BJP from power in the state.
The Bihar-based party leader who has been holding discussions with several anti-BJP parties in the city since Friday told the media that his intention was only to tell people how BJP led government has been cheating the people of Bihar and Assam.
Yadav said, “Problems of both Bihar and Assam are same. We two states are backward and people in both the states have been reeling under the problem of the flood. In Bihar also BJP government has been cheating the people of the state and they are also doing the same to the people of Assam. I am here to speak the truth. BJP only does divisive politics.”
“Instead of talking about the real issues of jobs, economy, farmer’s issues, students’ problems, price rise; this government only talks about Hindu Muslim and Mandir Masjid. To save our country, such people need to be dethroned and RJD will stand with those who believe in secularism,” the young leader said.
Yadav has been camping in Guwahati since Friday and met Assam Congress chief Ripun Bora too. He was slated to meet Badruddin Ajmal-led All India United Democratic Front (AIUDF) leadership before leaving the city on Saturday night.
He said his party would also campaign in West Bengal and Kerala against the BJP.
