Guwahati: The BJP- Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP) alliance in Nagaland will continue to work towards peace, progress, and prosperity of the state, said Union Minister Sarbananda Sonowal on Friday.

During two election rallies in Mon and Wokha districts, he stated that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s tireless efforts had enabled the holistic development of Nagaland and the Northeast.

The peace that has been achieved in the area and the development projects that have been undertaken are the fruits of PM Modi’s vision for the Northeast as the country’s new growth engine, Sonowal said.

No prime minister has ever placed such a high priority on the growth and development of the Northeast, he added.

The BJP-NDPP alliance will continue to work towards peace, progress and prosperity of Nagaland, under Modi’s dynamic leadership, he said.

He further added that your vote for the BJP-NDPP alliance is the vote for peace and progress of Nagaland.

“The effort to propel growth in the region is only the beginning of a glorious era of progress for the Northeast”, he said.
