Dibrugarh, January 6: Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal faced the wrath of the public on Sunday.
A man showed black flags to Sonowal when he arrived here.
Sonowal is in Dibrugarh to attend the Ahom Sabha Adhibeshan in Chowkidingee.
It may be noted that protests broke out across Assam after Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that the government is moving ahead with the Citizenship (Amendment) Bill, 2016.
The man waved black flags as Sonowal’s convoy passed by. The act was caught on the cameras.
The man was later detained by the local police.
Sonowal was born in Molokgaon located in the Dibrugarh. He is also an alumnus of the Dibrugrah University.
