Black flags greet RSS workers in Sonari

Sonari, January 20: The protesters from the six indigenous communities on Sunday showed black flags to the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) workers during one of their ‘Path Sanchalan’ programmes in Sonari, Charaideo district.

The RSS organised a ‘Prantiya Path Sanchalan’ programme at the Bhagawati Prasad Baruah HS School playground on Sunday.

The agitators from Bir Lachit Sena, Assam Jatiyatabadi Yuba Chhatra Parishad, Ahom Jatiya Gana Mancha, Ahom Sena also burnt replica of the Citizenship (Amendment) Bill, 2016 and effigy of Prime Minister Narendra Modi while raising anti-BJP slogans.

The protesters also accused the RSS workers of “dishonoring” the Axomiya gamusa.
