Guwahati: Bollywood star Aamir Khan donated Rs 25 lakh to the chief minister relief fund of Assam to aide to the relief and rehabilitation of flood victims of the state.
This year, first wave of flood has been devastating and millions of people became displace and homeless within few hours in the state. Over 120 people died already.
Sharing Khan’s contribution, chief minister Himanta Biswa Sarma tweeted: “Eminent Bollywood actor Amir Khan extended a helping hand to the flood-affected people of our State by making a generous contribution of ₹25 lakh towards CM Relief Fund. My sincere gratitude for his concern and act of generosity.”
Already several Bollywood personalities and even the Dalai Lama have contributed to the CM relief fund for Assam flood.
