In what can be seen as an unprecedented move by Bollywood stars, which have often been called out for keeping mum on controversial issue, the film fraternity has come together virtually to extend their support to actor Rhea Chakraborty, who was arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) on Tuesday.

Minutes after her arrest in a drugs case linked to the death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput, social media was flooded with a quote on “smash the patriarchy” and #JusticeForRhea started trending simultaneously.

Celebrities such as Vidya Balan, Zoya Akhtar, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Dia Mirza, Abhay Deol, Shweta Bachchan Nanda and several others took on social media to share the quote – something that was written on the T-shirt Rhea wore on Tuesday as she appeared before the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB).
