Breaking: After Earthquake, Rain god likely to play spoilsport in Assam
Guwahati: After a massive earthquake of magnitude 6.4 in the morning hours, intense rainfall might play a spoilsport in the Guwahati city, as thunderstorms/lighting accompanied with gusty winds with wind speed 30 to 40 km/ph is likely to hit the Kamrup metro and Kamrup rural district in next few hours.
In a major announcement, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) also issued weather warnings with scattered to isolated rainfall activity in certain pockets in the districts of Kamrup, Kamrup (M), Dhubri, Goalpara, Kokrajhar, Bongaigaon, Chirang, Barpeta, Nalbari, Baksa, South Salmara-Mankachar.
Avoid staying in vulnerable structure.
Avoid staying outside during raining time due to possible lighting strike
