Controversial Barak Democratic Front (BDF) leader Pradip Dutta Roy was arrested by the Cachar police after 8 hours of interrogation at the office of the Deputy Superintendent of Police on Saturday evening.

Speaking to the media, Roy said, “Assam Chief Minister wants to kill me inside the jail, hence, he has put up sedition charges against me. I urge the Chief Minister of West Bengal Mamata Banerjee to come here to see the condition of the Bengalis in Assam. We are in danger, please come and help us.”
