BREAKING: Assam Withdraws Travel Ban To Mizoram
Guwahati: Assam has withdrawn the travel restrictions upon its citizens from travelling to Mizoram on Thursday.
Earlier, the state government has asked the people of the state not to visit Mizoram in view of the tense situation along the borders after the July 26 clash.
The state government’s order of banning travel to Mizoram was highly criticised on social media too. Mizoram, however, continued allowing travel from Assam.
The withdrawal of the travel ban came hours after both the state government in a high level meeting on Thursday decided not to send its police or forest officials to the disputed areas and to harbour peace.
