BREAKING: Bhubon Pegu to join BJP

Pegu was elected in the Assam Legislative Assembly election in 2006 and 2016 from Jonai constituency.

GUWAHATI: Assam’s Jonai legislature Bhubon Pegu of Gana Shakti Party (GSP) to join the saffron camp in a day or two.

Confirming the development, Assam’s health minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said that the leader to join BJP shortly.

“All necessary discussions are done and Pegu to fight the next assembly polls from BJP. He will join in a day or two,” Sarma informed media.

Pegu was elected in the Assam Legislative Assembly election in 2006 and 2016 from Jonai constituency.

Recently senior Congress leader Ajanta Neog too joined BJP.
