GUWAHATI: All domestic and international tourists visiting Assam’s Manas National Park in Baksa district will have to undergo mandatory RT-PCR Covid 19 tests from now onwards.
Issuing an order on Wednesday, the Baksa district administration has made it compulsory for all visitors to the national park to wear masks, maintain social distancing and all Covid protocols besides the mandatory test.
The owners of hotels, resorts, tourist lodges around Manas National Park were asked not to accommodate any person(s) without a negative report of Covid19,” the order said.
A dedicated medical team was also directed to be established at Manas National Park’s second gate for screening visitors.
The district administration said that violation of the order would attract legal actions.
Earlier, Kaziranga National Park also made Covid19 tests compulsory for its visitors.
