GUWAHATI: In a bid to ease up travel restrictions of passengers of the northeast region, Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) has decided to increase the frequency of the Dibrugarh – New Delhi – Dibrugarh Rajdhani Special train from once a week to five days a week.
Timings, stoppages and composition will remain same.
Accordingly, Dibrugarh – New Delhi Rajdhani Special train will leave from Dibrugarh every Sunday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday to reach New Delhi on the third day.
During the return journey, New Delhi – Dibrugarh Rajdhani Special train will leave from New Delhi every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday to reach Dibrugarh on the third day.
The additional services will start from Dibrugarh on February 16 and from New Delhi on February 19.
In view of the increase of the frequency of the Dibrugarh – New Delhi – Dibrugarh Rajdhani Special train, timings of Agartala – Habibganj weekly special train has been revised in few stations like New Karimganj, Badarpur, New Halflong, Chaparmukh, Guwahati, Rangiya, New Bongaigaon, New Coochbehar etc.
N.F. Railway has also decided to resume the services of the special train between Udaipur – Kamakhya – Udaipur. This train will run via Goalpara Town, Alipurduar Jn, New Jalpaiguri, Katihar, Hajipur, Gorakhpur, Lucknow and Ajmer.
Services of the special train Sealdah – Bamanhat – Sealdah will also resume. This train will run via New Coochbehar, New Jalpaiguri, Kishanganj, Malda Town, Rampurhat, Bolpur Santi Niketan and Dakhineswar.
NFR has also decided to resume the services of the special train running between Sealdah – Alipurduar Jn – Sealdah. This train will run via Hasimara, New Mal Jn, Siliguri Jn, Thakurganj, Barsoi Jn, Rampurhat, Barddhaman and Dakhineswar.
Similarly, services of Kolkata – Haldibari – Kolkata passenger special will also resume from next week. This train will run via New Jalpaiguri, Kishanganj, Malda Town, Rampurhat, Bolpur Santi Niketan and Barddhaman.
On the other hand, passenger trains between New Jalpaiguri – Halbibari – New Jalpaiguri will resume operation from February 8.
