    BREAKING: Final photo electoral rolls for Guwahati published

    Chief Election Commissioner Sunil Arora to begin their three-day-long visit to the state from Monday

    GUWAHATI: The final revised photo electoral rolls of the four assembly constituencies of Guwahati city was published on Monday.

    The office of the Assam Chief Electoral Officer under the Election commission of India has published the final revised photo electoral rolls for Jalukbari, Dispur, Gauhati East and West legislative assembly constituencies (LACs).

     “The copy of the same has been kept for inspection for General Public at the office of the concerned EROs and in the office of the District Election Officer, Kamrup Metropolitan Election District, Guwahati,” said an official statement.

    Meanwhile, Chief Election Commissioner Sunil Arora along with Election Commissioners Sushil Chandra and Rajiv Kumar were to begin their three-day-long visit to the state from Monday. They will take stock of preparations for assembly polls slated sometime in April-May.

    The CEC was scheduled to hold meetings with senior officials of the state government, including the chief secretary, home secretary, director general of police, chief electoral officer and police nodal officer.

    Discussions with leaders of political parties, election-related Central and state regulatory authorities, district election officers and SPs were also scheduled during the visit.
