Guwahati: In a sensational incident, the Guwahati-Bikaner Express got derailed near Domohani in West Bengal on Thursday evening.
According to reports, the train derailed near Maynaguri in West Bengal.
Even though the exact number of passengers on the train is not known yet, numerous people were seen outside the train.
According to the preliminary reports, at least 12 coaches have been affected.
Meanwhile, the Indian Railways has informed that the DRM and ADRM have rushed to the site to rescue the people on derailed Guwahati-Bikaner Express.
The train was moving at the speed of 40kmph.
The ‘15633 UP BIKANER EXPRESS’ started its journey from Bikaner Junction to reach Guwahati on Thursday. The entire route normally takes around 46 hrs 50 mins with 32 scheduled stops.

Update: Moumita Basu, Jalpaiguri DM: We have recovered 3 bodies, rescue work is on. We have hospitalised at least 10 injured passengers already.
98 passengers boarded the train (Guwahati-Bikaner Express) from Patna junction and 3 people from Mokama and 2 people from Bakhtiarpur: Rajesh Kumar Chief Reservation supervisor, Patna junction, Bihar
