BREAKING: Guwahati’s Don Bosco school declared as containment zone

BREAKING: Guwahati’s Don Bosco school declared as containment zone

Guwahati: After two teachers of Don Bosco High School in Guwahati were declared as COVID-19 positive on Sunday, the entire school premise has been declared as containment zone for the next seven days.

The Deputy Commissioner has issued an official notification which prohibits any unauthorised entry and exit into the notified containment zones till February 27.

Movement of unauthorised vehicles and individuals within the notified areas has been barred with an immediate effect.

Meanwhile, all the teachers of the school have been directed to attend the school for COVID-19 test on Monday. Also, it was announced that if any students suffers from COVID symptoms, authorities have advised to get themselves tested for the same as soon as possible.

Earlier, the new cases of COVID-19 from the school have created a panic situation among students, parents and staff of the school.

The teachers who tested positive for the virus were identified as Pranita Gogoi and Mousumi Purkaystha.
