    HS Examinees Caught Cheating Will Be Expelled For 1 Year: AHSEC

    This year, a total of 2,34,809 students would appear for the HS course final examination which will kick-start from February 12th, 2020

    The Assam Higher Secondary Education Council (AHSEC) on February 10th, 2020 announced that the examinees of Class 12 final exam caught indulging in the malpractice inside examination centres will be barred for a year.

    The decision has been conveyed to all those who are in-charge of the examination centres. This year, a total of 2,34,809 students would appear for the HS course final examination which will kick-start from February 12th, 2020.

    A total of 1,175,175 students in Arts stream, 40,588 in Science stream and 18,178 in Commerce stream would appear for the Class 12 Board examinations.

    A special committee of the AHSEC will examine the cheating cases and might extend the period of expulsion.

    It may be mentioned, the Board of Secondary Education Assam announced that the examinees of Class X final exam caught with mobile phones or indulging in malpractice inside examination centres will be barred for three years.
