A student of Sankardev Sishu Vidya Niketan, Bamundi in Kamrup district, who appeared the High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC) examination 2019, went missing on May 15th, 2019 soon after the declaration of the result by the Board of Secondary Education, Assam (SEBA).

Locals suspected that unexpected result might be the reason behind the incident.

The Class 10 examinations concluded on March 6th, 2019 in which a total of 3,36,203 students appeared for HSLC examination and 9,127 for Assam High Madrassa examination at 857 examination centres across the State. The pass percentage of the HSLC 2019 examination recorded 60.23.

Dhemaji district topped with 83.28 per cent followed by Sivasagar district with 70.20 per cent while Hailakandi recorded the lowest percentage with 39.01 pre cent.
