Breaking: Lanka Girl Allegedly Commits Suicide After HSLC Result Declaration

A student of Buds English School in Hojai’s Lanka, who appeared the High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC) examination 2019, allegedly committed suicide on May 15th, 2019 after the declaration of the result by the Board of Secondary Education, Assam (SEBA).

The deceased hails from Joyrambasti under Lanka Police Station in Hojai district in Assam.

As per information, her body was found hanging from the ceiling of the house.  Locals suspected unexpected result might be the reason behind the incident.

The pass percentage of the HSLC 2019 examination recorded 60.23. The Class 10 examinations concluded on March 6th, 2019 in which a total of 3,36,203 students appeared for HSLC examination and 9,127 for Assam High Madrassa examination at 857 examination centres across the State.
