    Miscreants Set BJP Leader’s Bus On Fire In Assam’s Morigaon

    The bus was set on fire in the wee hours of December 31st, 2019

    Miscreants set ablaze a bus belonging to a leader of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the wee hours of December 31st, 2019 in Assam’s Morigaon.

    The bus belonged to Ram Prasad Sarkar, general secretary of Morigaon BJP unit.

    The bus was parked infront of Sarkar’s residence. The incident which has sparked a sensation in the region came at a time when protests against the Citizenship (Amendment) Act, 2019 are going on across Assam.

    Sarkar’s younger brother told the local media that they heard some sound and when they came outside they found the bus was on fire.

    A police investigation is underway into the matter.
