GUWAHATI: A special NIA Court on Friday rejected the bail plea of anti-CAA leader and the chief of Krishak Mukti Sangram Samiti Akhil Gogoi against the Chandmari police station case no 13/19.

Notably, Bitu Sonowal, Manash Konwar and Dharjya Konwar got bail from the NIA Court earlier in the same case.

Gogoi’s counsel Santanu Borthakur said, “The NIA Court has rejected the bail plea of Akhil Gogoi today. We are yet to receive the certified copy of the 45-page judgement. However, we will move the Gauhati High Court within next week.”
