BREAKING: Picnic banned at 10 spots in Kamrup; Concern over

Guwahati: Picnic at 10 popular spots within the Kamrup district has been banned by administration on Friday owing to poor observance of Covid19 protocol by public.

The district administration in an order said that the picnic spots of Ukiam, Kulsi, Chandubi, Baregaon, Rani Khamar, Kopili, Kedar, Dirgheswari, Madan Kamdev, Malang Sildubi and other spots were directed to close with immediate effect until further orders.

Any violation of the order will appeal action under the provisions of Section 51 to 60 of the Disaster Management Act 2005 besides legal action under Section 188 of the IPC.

“It has come to the notice that there is poor observance and lack of maintenance of Covid19 protocols such as social distancing, use of face mask etc which may cause every likelihood of transmission of Covid19 virus in the society,” the order said.
