BREAKING: Priyanka Gandhi’s Assam Rallies Canceled; Came in Contact With Covid 19 Case
GUWAHATI: Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, general secretary of, Indian National Congress, has canceled all her rallies in Assam scheduled on Friday after she came in contact with Covid19 positive person.
Sources said that her husband Robert Vadra has tested positive for coronavirus.
In a video message, she said that though her test results have come negative, medical practitioners have suggested her to stay in isolation.
“My test report has come out negative but doctors have asked me to stay in isolation. So I have to cancel my visit to Assam. I regret the inconvenience and pray for Congress’s victory in Assam,” she said in her video message.
She was slated to kick start Congress’s election campaign for Phase-III polls in Goalpara, Golakganj and Kayakuchi. She was scheduled to attend three public rallies on Tuesday in Assam.
In Assam also, Covid 19 cases have seen a rising trend over the last couple of days. On Thursday, Assam recorded 58 cases and two deaths, the highest in last week.
