Earlier in the day, speaking to a local TV channel, Minister of State for Health and Family Welfare, Pijush Hazarika said that the GMCH doctors are closely monitoring the patient.

Hazarika had mentioned that the patient have chances of getting infected with chickenpox or dengue instead of coronavirus. The Minister also appealed the citizens to not panic as the government has taken adequate measures to prevent the spread of the virus.
