BTC Elections: BPF Ready To Share Seats With ABSU, Says Hagrama Mohilary

Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC) Chief Hagrama Mohilary on February 10th, 2020, said Bodoland Peoples’ Front (BPF) is ready to share seats with the All Bodo Students’ Union (ABSU) in the next general elections of the council if they join hands.

“We are ready to share seats with ABSU in the next general elections of the council if they join BPF,” he said while speaking to the media persons. However, he said that the alliance with Bharatiya Janata Party and the Asom Gana Parishad will continue.

Besides, talking about the formation of a new political party, Mohilary said, “Each and everybody has the right to form new political party. But, no BPF leader will join another party.”

The 18th Bodoland Day was observed at Dergaon in a befitting manner to mark the signing of the Bodoland peace accord signed in 2003 which led to the formation of the BTC.
