Canada’s PM Justin Trudeau Grabs Attention For A ‘Beard’ Reason

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau recently held a press conference in Ottawa following the fatal plane crash outside of Tehran, Iran, that claimed the lives of 176 people, including 63 Canadians. The crash is reported to be one of the biggest disasters in recent Canadian history.

On January 10th, 2020 the Prime Minister in another conference informed that the Ukraine-bound Boeing passenger airliner was shot down by an Iranian missile. “We have intelligence from multiple sources including our allies and our own intelligence. The evidence indicates that the plane was shot down by an Iranian surface-to-air missile. This may well have been unintentional. This new information reinforces for a thorough investigation into this matter” he said.

In a series of tweets PM Trudeau informed that he spoke with the US President Donald Trump, French President Emmanuel Macron, Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison over the fatal crash and expressed his condolences for the loss of life. He said that he discussed the need for a thorough investigation to determine the cause of the crash.

The government added that they would not rest until it had all the answers about the destruction of the crash.

In memory of the victims of the plane crash in Tehran, the flag on the Peace Tower will be flown at half-mast until further notice.

Amid the furore, a rather clean shaved Prime Minister gained attention for another weird reason as Tweeps started pointing on his beard. While some questioned on his new look with an interrogation mark, others said that his ‘beard’ was a piece of news which should be given importance amid the tensions. A user even wrote, “beard looks great”. Read the comments below.
