    CBSE Results: 83.37% of students from NE passed CBSE Class XII

    A total of 43,277 students appeared in the Class XII final examination from the northeastern states

    Guwahati: At least 83.37 per cent students from the eight northeastern states including Sikkim have cleared the class XII final examinations, 2020 conducted by the CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education) on Monday.

    As per the Board, a total of 43,277 students, out of which 22,014 boys and 21,263 girls appeared in the Class XII final examination from the northeastern states.

    Girl students once again outperformed boys with 85.55 percent of pass percentage against 80.90 of boys.

    The region has 527 schools under the CBSE with 318 examination centres.

    This year the total of 88.78% students have cleared the class 12th exam in the country. There was an increase of 5.38% in the pass percent as compared to last year.

    In the year 2019, the pass percent was 83.4%. Trivandrum has the highest pass percent of 97.67% while the lowest pass percent is of Patna at 74.57.
