Centre Grants Rs. 358 Crore To Tripura For Better Roads

The Union Ministry of Rural Development has sanctioned Rs. 358 Crore for maintenance of the roads and completion of the repair of roads, which were started during the Left Front Regime.

The ministry has informed that the additional fund has been released keeping the development plans of the state in mind.

It may be mentioned here the Tripura Chief Minister, Biplab Kumar Deb met Prime Minister Narendra Modi a few weeks ago to seek additional funds for the resuming the construction work of the roads which remained pending for a long time due to lack of funds.

Meanwhile, the central government has shown green signal to the World Bank aided project of Rs.299.96 crore for the construction of 42 roads.
