    Chief Election Commissioner of India to visit Assam on January 18

    CEC will hold separate meetings with Chief Secretary, Home Secretary, DGP and other senior officials of the State.

    Guwahati: A high level delegation under the leadership of Chief Election Commissioner of India (CEC) Sunil Arora will visit poll-bound Assam on January 18 next.

    During the three days visit at Guwahati, the CEC will hold separate meetings with Chief Secretary, Home Secretary, DGP and other senior officials of the State.

    The CEC will also hold discussions with the Chief Electoral Officer and Police Nodal Officer of Assam, leaders of political parties, election related Central and State Regulatory authorities.

    Arora will also interact with the District Election Officers and SPs of the State.

    The other members of the delegation are Chief Election Commissioner Sushil Chandra; Election Commissioner Rajiv Kumar; DG, ECI Dharmendra Sharma; DEC Chandra Bhusan Kumar; ADG, PIB & Spokesperson Sheyphail B Sharan; Senior Principal Secretary Narendra N Butolia; Director of Expenditure Pankaj Srivastava and EVM Consultant Vipin Katara.
