Guwahati: The CISCE on Saturday announced results for classes 10 and 12, with class 10 girls and boys achieving the same pass percentage.
In the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) class 12 results girls outshone boys by a margin on 0.2 percent.
The results have been prepared on an alternate assessment policy decided by the board.
In class 10, girls and boys have achieved a pass percentage of 99.98 percent. In class 12, the pass percentage of girls is 99.86 percent while that of boys is 99.66 percent.
A total of 94,011 candidates appeared for the ICE exam among which 50,459 are boys and 43,552 are girls.
In ICSE, 219,499 students appeared for the exam where 118,846 are boys and 100,653 are girls.
Both class 10 and 12 of the council of Indian school certificate examinations (CISCE) board recorded a near perfect success rate of 99.98% and 99.76%.
Meanwhile, recheck of answer scripts are not applicable this year as students were awarded imputed marks, a dispute resolution mechanism has been made available for students. It has to be routed through the school head and the last date is August 1, 2021.
The results were based on internal assessments of past two to three year’s performances after exams were cancelled due to the COVID19 pandemic. Last year, with several papers cancelled, ICSE (class 10) had recorded a national success rate of 99.3% while ISC (class 12) had a success rate of 96.8%.
