Citizenship Bill & Assam University | ULFA leader tears into Barak Valley students’ leader, questions his decision-making authority

Cachar, January 11: Pro-talk United Liberation Front of Assam (ULFA) leader Prabal Neog on Friday slammed the founder president of All Cachar-Karimganj-Hailakandi Students’ Association (ACKHSA) Pradeep Dutta Roy for ‘threatening’ the Assamese students studying in Assam University for protesting against the Citizenship (Amendment) Bill, 2016 and demanded his immediate arrest.
Neog questioned, “Who is Pradeep Dutta Roy to decide which community’s people will study or get appointed in the University?”
Neog also hurled abuses at Roy and demanded his immediate arrest on ‘sedition’ charge.
“Actually, Roy is anti-national. He should be arrested immediately. Police should take a suo-moto case against him if the police can register the same case against Hiren Gohain and Akhil Gogoi.”
Neog further said if Roy continues his communal remarks then he would not be allowed to go through Assam.
“Even, he will not be able to come out from Cachar,” Neog added.
It may be mentioned that the Durnitibirudhi Oikya Mancha has registered an FIR against Roy today at Golaghat Police Station.

Cotton University Students’ Union has lodged an FIR against Roy at Panbazar Police Station.
