Guwahati: Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal congratulated the science, arts and commerce stream toppers and all those who passed in the Higher Secondary Examination of the state and wished them a bright future ahead.
The Chief Minister said that the results of this examination reflected the dedication, sincerity and hard-work of the students and the success in this examination will inspire them to achieve greater success in the future as well.
The Chief Minister also urged the students to become good human beings apart from being successful in their academic careers and lead a life of high moral values. He also congratulated the teachers and parents of the students for their success.
Similarly, the Chief Minister also called upon the unsuccessful students not to lose hope and prepare with renewed dedication and sincerity for the next year’s examination to achieve success.
The Assam Higher Secondary Education Council (AHSEC) declared the results of Higher Secondary (Class 12) examination on Thursday at 9 am.
A total of 86.36 per cent students cleared the Board exam successfully, with Abhinash Kalita from Science topped with 486 marks securing 97.2 per cent.
The Commerce stream has the highest pass percentage with 88.18 per cent, followed by Science- 88.06 per cent.
The Arts stream has the least pass percentage at 78.28 per cent.
Nearly 2.34 lakh students who had appeared in the Higher Secondary examinations can check the results through the website ahsec.nic.in. If students unable to check result through website- ahsec.nic.in.
They can download the board’s official app- ‘Upolobdha’. To check the result via SMS, students need to type Assam12<space>rollnumber and send it to 56263 and they will get their result as an SMS alert.
Last year, Commerce stream students had the best pass percentage of 87.59 per cent followed by Science where the pass percentage was 86.59 per cent and Arts students had the least pass percentage at 75.14 per cent.
