Guwahati: With an aim, to create an alternate space for artist to showcase their original art pieces, Purple Carrot Organisers, this time, has came up with their second session of a house concert in Guwahati titled “Coconut Tree Session” to be hosted on Sunday.

Curated by Chiranjib Deka, the second edition of the Coconut Tree session boasted of a line up like Dr Dope, Colossal Corp, Doorbin, Saikat Das, BONNY aka Bonzo and Jubin Ahmed.

The event will be organised at Purple studio at Kumarpara Panchali in Guwahati.

Speaking to TIME8, Chiranjib Deka said, “The core idea was to promote any kind of art in its original form and also to promote the artiste by giving them a platform to play their own compositions.”

It may be mentioned here that the concept of house concert or home concert has gained popularity in the past few years.

Such a musical concert or performance art that is presented in someone’s home or apartment or private space is an easy way to access high-quality live music.

Every year, the organisers install a graffiti wall in a bid to promote the artists and the art in the state.
