The officer-in-charge (OC) of the Bandihana Police Station in West Assam’s Dhubri district was found hanging inside the toilet of his quarter in the wee hours of September 6th, 2019. The deceased cop has been identified as 56-year-old Khanindra Chandra Rai.
The incident came to light when a police constable witnessed his body hanging inside the toilet on September 6th, 2019. Later, the body was recovered in presence of the Dhubri Superintendent of Police Kangkan Jyoti Saikia, Circle Officer Abul Kalam Azad and OC of the Fakiarganj Police Station. The body was sent to the Dhubri Civil Hospital for post mortem.
Three months ago, Rai had joined the Bandihana Police Station as OC. He hailed from Bisondoi in Golakganj in Dhubri district. He was suffering from diabetics.
