Guwahati, July 11: The court will hear the bail plea of arrested Mukesh Hyundai owner Rishabh Himatsingka today, as per reports.
It may be mentioned that Nitin Himatsingka, brother of arrested Rishabh, publicly said sorry to the people belonging to the Assamese community across the globe.
Addressing the media on Monday with folded hands, Nitin said, “It’s not an Assamese versus non-Assamese incident. Whatever has happened is very unfortunate and it shouldn’t happen to anyone, anywhere. I request you all to not give it a communal angle. I assure you that such an incident will never happen again. I apologize on behalf of my family to all the people belonging to the Assamese community across the world.
Rishabh has been accused of forcing employee Kamal Das to kneel down holding his ears in front of other staff and customers on July 4. Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police, Amitabh Basumatary arrested Rishabh from the Dichang Resort at Sonapur on the outskirts of the city on July 8.
The showroom and service center of the car dealer at Ganeshguri was closed down on July 6 following massive protests by the several local organizations over the alleged incident of ill-treatment by Rishabh. It was reopened this week.
On July 5, Rishabh also issued an apology letter to the employees of Mukesh Hyundai.
The Youth Kisan Conclave and Yuva Kisan Mahotsav lodged an FIR against Rishabh. Das, who has been working in the Centre for more than 11 years, too lodged an FIR against Rishabh.
Nitin also appealed Kamal to join his duties and said that he will be awarded a promotion as compensation and his salary will also be hiked.
