COVID-19 Highlights: Assam reports 26 deaths, 3079 new cases
Guwahati: The increasing trend in daily death cases in the state of Assam due to the deadly coronavirus is on, as on Thursday, around 26 people succumbing to the virus.
The state recorded 3079 new cases, whereas, 1797 people were discharged today.
The positivity rate has come down from 5.49% to 4.58% in the past 24 hours.
Today’s high caseload districts were Kamrup (M) with 1029 cases, Dibrugarh with 238 cases, Kamrup (R) with 234 cases and Nagaon with 156 cases.
The recovery rate in the state now stands at 90%, as per the latest data provided by the Health and Family Welfare Department.
Also, informing about the COVID-19 vaccine and coverage status of Assam, Assam Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma took to Twitter saying, “Total doses administered till date 23,34,513. 1st dose 18,34,673. 2nd dose 4,99,840. Total Vaccinated today 92,117. Total vaccines available in stock 6,65,520.”
