COVID-19 scare: Cancellation of all regular classes at Dibrugarh University extended till Jan 21
Guwahati: In view of the declaration of four micro containment zones and an epicenter in the Dibrugarh University campus by the District Disaster Management Authority, Dibrugarh district due to detection of COVID-19 positive cases, the cancellation of all regular classes of the University Teaching Departments, Centres of studies and Dibrugarh University Institute of Engineering and Technology (DUIET) has been extended up to January 21, 2022.
The Joint Registrar (Academic) Dibrugarh University in a notification has directed the students to come to their hostels, not before one day of resuming their classes.
Further, all concerned are being informed to visit the University Website for any update in this regard.
Earlier, at least 14 people from the university were reportedly tested Covid-19 positive on January 9, 2022.
Following this, the Aideu Handique girls’ hostel and NGH girls’ hostel had been declared as micro containment zones while Joymoti, Padmakumari Gohain, and Pushpalata Das girls hostels were demarcated as containment zones.
