    Cricket giant Sourav Ganguly hospitalised with cardiac problem

    The 48-year-old cricketer reportedly complained of uneasiness while he was working out at his home gym and was immediately rushed to hospital.

    Guwahati: BCCI President and Former Team India captain Sourav Ganguly have been admitted to hospital after he complained of chest pain on Saturday.

    Reportedly, the hospital sources said that he is stable and had only suffered a ‘mild cardiac arrest’.

    The 48-year-old cricketer reportedly complained of uneasiness while he was working out at his home gym and was immediately rushed to Woodsland Hospital in Kolkata.

    West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee took Twitter to wish Sourav Ganguly a speedy recovery.

    Ganguly, who took over as BCCI president in 2019, has been hailed as one of the best captains to have led the country. He is credited for starting a new era in Indian Cricket as he backed youngsters and created a fighting unit that achieved a lot of success across the world

    Earlier this week, Ganguly cleared speculations about him joining politics ahead of West Bengal Assembly polls next year. He stated that he went to meet the state’s Governor upon invitation.
