CRPF Jawan From Assam’s Nalbari Martyred In Anantnag

A Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) jawan from Assam, who hailed from Nalbari district in the Western part of the state, was killed in a terror attack in Anantnag in Jammu and Kashmir on June 12th, 2019.
The martyred has been identified as Assistant Sub Inspector (ASI) Nirod Sarma.
Among others who lost their lives in the attack, 2 were from Uttar Pradesh and one each from Haryana and Madhya Pradesh.
The other deceased are ASI Ramesh Kumar of Jhajjar in Haryana, CT Satendra Kumar of Muzaffarnagar in Uttar Pradesh, CT Mahesh Kr Kushwaha of Gazipur in Uttar Pradesh and CT Sandeep Yadav of Dewas Madhya Pradesh.
It may be mentiond that Niraj Chetri – a jawan of Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) hailing from Gohpur in Biswanath district of Assam was killed and four others sustained injuries in an encounter with Maoists in Dumka district of Jharkhand in the wee hours of June 2nd, 2019.
