Soon after the news of Swaraj’s demise broke, Dass expressed grief and tweeted, “Sushma Swaraj Ji will be greatly missed and her demise is an unbearable loss. I pray that her soul finds eternal peace and may her family and friends be blessed with the strength to endure these times of grief.”

Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal also mourned the loss of ‘India’s most beloved and tallest leader’ Swaraj and tweeted, “Deeply saddened at the untimely demise of Sushma Swaraj ji, former External Affairs Minister & one of India’s most beloved & tallest leaders. I offer my heartfelt condolences to her family & friends. Her great legacy will continue to inspire us. #SushmaSwaraj.”
