Desi Twitter Compares Meghan Markle & Prince Harry’s Exit From Royal Family With K3G

Ever since Prince Harry and Meghan Markle publicly announced to step back as ‘senior’ members of the Royal Family ‘to become financially independent’, the news has apparently garnered reactions from all quarters.

The pair recently made the announcement on their blue ticked Instagram handle—‘Sussex Royal’ with a detailed note leaving the world surprised.

“…………We intend to step back as ‘senior’ members of the Royal Family and work to become financially independent while continuing to fully support Her Majesty The Queen………..” the post read.

While some had positive feedback on their decision, others trolled the couple followed by a meme fest. Things turned a little dramatic after Bollywood fans compared Prince and Meghan with Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol’s character in Karan Johar’s 2001 release Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham(K3G).

Tweeps flooded the internet with K3G jokes, memes and opined that the scene is relatable with K Jo’s K3G, where Shah Rukh who plays the character of Rahul belongs to an affluent family falls in love with Anjali and gets married going against his father’s wish and subsequently leaves his home.

Here’s how Twitteratis reacted to the announcement. Have a look:
