    Dibrugarh University postpones both Non-CBCS and CBCS exams ahead of State Polls

    The 126-member Assam Assembly will be held in three phases on March 27, April 1 and April 6

    Dibrugarh: Ahead of the ensuing Assam assembly election 2021, the Dibrugarh University on Monday postponed the B.A/ B.Sc/ B.Com for the first, third and fifth semester (Non-Choice Based Credit System) examinations, 2020 and, B.A/ B.Sc/ B.Com for the first and third semester (CBCS) examinations, 2020.

    In a notification, the controller of examination stated that the office of the registrar, Dibrugarh University stated that the B.A/ B.Sc/ B.Com first, third semester (Non-CBCS) examinations, 2020 (scheduled from March 5, 2021 onwards), and B.A/ B.Sc/ B.Com fifth semester (Non-CBCS) examinations, 2020 (scheduled from March 9, 2021 onwards) and the B.A/ B.Sc/ B.Com first semester (CBCS) Examinations, 2020 (scheduled from March 20, 2021 onwards) have been postponed until further notice.

    The revised timetables of the said examinations and the timetable for the B.A/ B.Sc/ B.Com third semester (CBCS) examination, 2020 are yet to be notified, stated controller of examination in the notification.

    Notably, the Election Commission announced the schedule for Assam Legislative Assembly Elections 2021 last Friday.

    Addressing a press conference, Chief Election Commissioner of India Sunil Arora said the polls for the 126-member Assam Assembly will be held in three phases on March 27, April 1 and April 6. The results will be announced on May 2, 2021.
