Do not use Non-Bodos for Political Gains: ASSA

Earlier on July 2, a person was shot dead in the night by unidentified persons

Guwahati: Aboro Suraksha Samiti-Asom on Saturday warned social welfare minister Pramila Rani Brahma and BPF Leader Prabin Boro not to use the non-Bodos for political gains.

Speaking during a press conference, Madhab Rajbongshi, general secretary, ASSA said that a non-Bodo was shot dead in the middle the road and politicians are trying to gain from the incident by making certain statements.

He added that it is a matter of concern that after losing a life, Brahma and Prabin Boro were pointing fingers at MP Naba Sarania just for the sake of politics. “We want to warn both of them not to use the non=Bodos for any such publicity”, he added.

He added that the murder proves that the government has failed to control the illegal arms market in the BTC and just because of this, there were many other killings in the region.

He added, “We appeal all the non-Bodos of the BTAD to stay alert so that no more such killing can occur in the region in the mere future.”
