Donald Trump: WHO Is Acting Like A PR Agency For China

The Trump Administration has initiated an investigation into the role of the WHO on the coronavirus outbreak

US President Donald Trump Thursday blasted the World Health Organization (WHO) and called it a ” public relations agency for China”

The Trump Administration has initiated an investigation into the role of the WHO on the coronavirus outbreak and has temporarily suspended the US’ financial assistance to it.

“The WHO should be ashamed of themselves because they are like the public relations agency for China,” Trump told reporters in the East Room of the White House.

He added, “The United States leads the world in the number of coronavirus tests conducted. The United States will defeat the Coronavirus and make a total economic comeback.”

Trump had earlier said that his administration was conducting “serious investigations” into what happened into Beijing’s handling of the highly contagious outbreak and suggested he would seek damages for the US.

The US President also threatened China with fresh tariffs, saying he had seen evidence linking a Wuhan lab to the contagion.
