    Double Trouble: Assam Doctors Test Covid Positive Again?

    In Assam, several doctors who had recovered from Covid infection were reportedly tested positive of the virus for the second time

    Guwahati: In a worrying development in Assam, several health workers who had recovered from Covid19 infection were reportedly tested positive of the virus for the second time.

    While some six doctors were reported of being infected by coronavirus for the second time at the Assam Medical College Hospital (AMCH), a few from the Guwahati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) here also either showed symptoms or been tested of Covid19 again.

    Sources in the Regional Medical Research Centre of the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) located at Lahowal in Dibrugarh district said that scientists from the organization have already begun collecting blood samples of these doctors for further research.

    An anti-body count tests were also being conducted to find out whether it’s a re-infection or a fresh one. Already state health department has initiated an investigation into the development.

    So far, over 1,600 doctors and health workers have so far tested positive for Covid19
