Guwahati: The police in East Karbi Anglong district arrested a drug peddler and recovered approximately 3 to 4 grams of brown sugar from him in Bokajan.

The youth was caught selling brown sugar red-handed on Saturday.

Meanwhile, the police have also arrested the drug buyer in connection to the case.

The arrested youths were identified as Nilpaban Bora and Pankaj Rai.

According to reports, after keeping a close watch on Nilpaban’s movements for some time, the Bokajan police conducted an operation at the National Highway 39 and arrested both the youths.

An investigation is underway.
