    Drug racket in Guwahati & Dhubri Busted: Several held

    Assam Police launching a drive against illegal drugs racket in the state seized a huge cache of drugs in Guwahati and Dhubri in two separate operations

    Guwahati: Assam Police launching a drive against illegal drugs racket in the state, seized a huge cache of drugs and contraband items in Guwahati and Dhubri in two separate operations.

    In the city, Crime Branch Guwahati police, along with the staff of Fatasil Ambari PS intercepted a woman identified as Mina Kumari, at AK Azad Road opposite Netaji apartment and seized three packets of suspected heroin.

    Based on the revelation of the arrestee, a search operation was launched at her rented house located at Sankar Nagar bye lane 1 and  seized eight more packets of suspected heroin along with Rs 50,000 cash

    “The total seizure includes 11 packets of suspected heroin weighing 125 gm approx,” Crime Branch sources said.

    Meanwhile in Dhubri, police nabbed one Rezaul Karim with a huge cache of a contraband consignment of spasmatic tablets and one Monwar Hussain with hundreds of banned cough syrups.
