Guwahati: An earthquake of magnitude 3.7 hit the Sonitpur district of Assam on Friday morning, according to the National Center for Seismology (NCS).

The quake struck at around 10.05 a.m. with a depth of 10 km.

The epicenter of this earthquake was 39km West of Tezpur, official informed.

Taking to Twitter, the official account of National Center for Seismology (NCS) wrote, “Earthquake of Magnitude:3.7, Occurred on 09-06-2023, 10:05:59 IST, Lat: 26.60 & Long: 92.40, Depth: 10 Km ,Location: 39km W of Tezpur, Assam.”
