Imphal/Guwahati, November 28: The controversy surrounding the Naga Framework Agreement is nowhere near seeing any closure. Due to several groups protesting over the issue and demanding the details the issue has only escalated further.
Now, even Manipur Ex-Chief Minister Okram Ibobi Singh has spoken out on the issue. Singh had asserted that even the people of Nagaland want to know what is contained in the Framework Agreement signed between NSCN (IM) and the Government of India.
Ibobi stated that the Congress party was not against the ceasefire agreement and Framework Agreement signed between NSCN (IM) and the centre but in fact, the party has been even pushing for an amicable solution that will rehabilitate the militant groups and bring peace in the northeast region.
Ibobi spoke at a sit-in-protest at Hiyanglam Lai-Panganba Bazar in Kakching district. He demanded the disclosure of the contents of the Framework Agreement. The protest was organised by Hiyanglam Block Congress Committee.
