    Ex Assam Police Chief Passes Away

    The 1960 batch IPS Officer SV Subramanian served as the DGP, Assam twice

    GUWAHATI: Assam Police has mourned the demise of the former Ex Director-General of Police( DGP ) SV Subramanian Passed Away . A condolence meeting was held at Assam Police HQ, Ulubari on Wednesday.

    Police Officers of all ranks led by the DGP, Assam Bhaskarjyoti Mahanta offered prayers and floral tribute for the eternal peace of the departed soul.

    The DGP while paying tribute to the Ex DGP recalled the contribution of S V Subramanian to the State of Assam and to Assam Police.

    The 1960 batch IPS Officer SV Subramanian served as the DGP, Assam twice – once from August 4, 1988, to May 6, 1991, and again from August 12, 1991, to March 31, 1994.

    The Ex DGP passed away on Tuesday in Hyderabad.
